SOMOCER
Since its founding in 1984, the Abdennadher Group has experienced continuous growth, driven by the bold vision, energy, and determination of its founder and CEO, Lotfi Abdennadher. Over a few decades, it has built a solid reputation in the Tunisian industry, particularly in the fields of ceramics and sanitary products.
In 1985, the Société Moderne de Céramique (SOMOCER) was established and acquired by the group four years later. Specializing in the production and marketing of ceramic tiles (porcelain stoneware and faience), SOMOCER quickly became a key player in the market. Located on a 22 hectare site in Menzel Hayet, Monastir Governorate, the company today employs over 700 people.
SOTEMAIL
As part of its diversification strategy, the group launched SOTEMAIL in 2004, a factory located in Souassi (Mahdia Governorate), dedicated to the production of full-body porcelain stoneware, with sizes ranging from 15×15 cm to 60×120 cm. Equipped with a fully automated production line—a first in Africa—SOTEMAIL strengthens the expertise of its 300 employees and establishes itself as a key player in the local market. It was also during this period that the group began its international expansion.
The quality and innovation of SOMOCER and SOTEMAIL products are widely recognized both in Tunisia and abroad, paving the way for numerous international markets.
